It’s been a delicious month of March during Taste Chelan 2023! Local wineries showcased mouth-watering pairings each Saturday as guests journeyed the area on a self-guided taste tour. Foodies and wine lovers rejoiced as they explored some of the most exciting and flavorful dishes the Lake Chelan Wine Valley has to offer.
As a grand finale to the tour, guests were invited to The Lodge for an end-of-tour nightcap filled with more delicious bites! Here’s an inside look into the Nightcap event happening during Taste Chelan 2023 at Mountain View Lodge & Resort.
Taste Chelan – A Culinary Tour of the Lake Chelan Wine Valley
The Lake Chelan Wine Valley is a hidden gem tucked away in the heart of Washington State, boasting some of the most picturesque landscapes and world-renowned wineries.
The annual Taste Chelan Taste Tour is an event that food and wine enthusiasts look forward to each year, and for good reason. It’s a chance to indulge in the region’s finest wines paired with specially crafted foods while exploring its breathtaking surroundings. Visitors are raving about how much fun they’ve had touring around Lake Chelan and experiencing all the unique pairings the local wineries have prepared.
A highlight of the tour has been the opportunity for guests to meet and chat with the winemakers themselves. They’re passionate about their craft and love sharing their knowledge with visitors. You can ask them anything about their wines, vineyards, and winemaking process, and they’ll happily oblige. This personal touch adds a level of intimacy to the experience, making it all the more memorable.
The Nightcap at The Lodge
This year, The Lodge had the opportunity to host a “bonus stop” on the tour with a Nightcap event. Upon arrival, we greeted guests with a s’mores-making kit, wines to pair their marshmellowy treats with by Amos Rome Vineyards and Chelan Ridge Winery, and fire pits to cozy up to under our pavilion.
One of the best things about the nightcap has been the atmosphere. It’s warm, inviting, and full of laughter and good cheer as guests sip their wine and prepare s’mores. Whether traveling solo or with a group, you’ll feel right at home with others who share your sense of adventure and appreciation for pairing gourmet bites with delicious wines.
