There’s no better place to celebrate the Fourth of July than Lake Chelan, where warm summer days, cool waters, and stunning mountain views create the perfect holiday backdrop.
Whether you’re a local or visiting for the long weekend, here’s how to make the most of Independence Day in the Lake Chelan Valley!
Fireworks Done Right: Where to Watch

Lake Chelan offers not one but TWO incredible professional fireworks displays, and you don’t want to miss either!
July 4 – Manson Bay Fireworks Show
Head to Manson Bay Park for a small-town celebration with big-time sparkle. Bonus: Just a short walk from your room at Mountain View Lodge!
Enjoy live music by The LakeBoys at 7 pm up until the first rockets are launched at 10:15 pm. Bring a blanket or beach chairs early—this spot fills up fast! You can even watch from your boat or grab a chair on the patio at nearby Vibe Cellars. There are limited tickets to the Vibe Fireworks Party, so get yours soon!
Fireworks start at 10:15 pm. Learn more here.
July 5 – Chelan Rockin’ Fireworks Show
Just because the Fourth is over doesn’t mean the fun stops!
On July 5th, Chelan hosts its own vibrant show, launched from a barge that’s anchored near Don Morse Park. Catch the best views from Don Morse Park, Lakeside Park, or on a boat with family and friends!
Fireworks start at 10 pm. Learn more here.
A quick reminder:
Due to wildfire risks, personal fireworks, including sparklers and firecrackers, are prohibited in all of Chelan County. Please help keep our valley safe by enjoying only professional shows and leaving the pyrotechnics to the pros!
Daytime Activities: Play Before the Fireworks

With sunshine nearly guaranteed and temperatures in the 80s or 90s, Lake Chelan is buzzing with energy all weekend long. Here’s how to enjoy the daylight hours:
- Hit the Water
Rent a boat, jet ski, or paddleboard from one of the many lakeside outfitters in Chelan or Manson. Holiday weekends book up fast, so be sure to reserve early!
- Tour the Wineries
Sip and swirl your way through the Lake Chelan Wine Valley. With over 40 wineries and tasting rooms, many hosting live music and outdoor tastings, you can make a full day of it.
- Hike with a View
If you’re looking to get your steps in before the BBQ, head up to the Chelan Butte Trail or Echo Ridge. Early morning hikes reward you with panoramic views and a chance to escape the midday heat.
- Shop & Stroll Downtown
Both Chelan and Manson offer charming downtowns filled with boutiques, ice cream shops, and more. Great for grabbing picnic supplies or browsing handcrafted goods. Bonus: The Chelan Evening Farmers Market is open on Thursday, July 3rd, and the Manson Farmers Market is open Wednesdays and Saturdays. Both make great spots to load up on goodies for your picnic or barbecue!
- Eat, Drink, and Be Festive
No Fourth of July is complete without good eats and festive flair. Make reservations where possible, or grab food to go and picnic at Riverwalk Park, Don Morse Park, or Lakeside Park.
Pro Tip: Check the Manson Chamber and Lake Chelan Chamber calendars for live music across the Chelan Valley, including Vin du Lac Winery, Campbell’s Pub & Veranda, and more!
Travel Smart: What to Know

- Parking
Expect tight parking near fireworks viewing areas. Use designated lots and carpool or walk whenever possible.
- Pets
Leave your dogs at home during the fireworks. Both shows can be loud and crowded!
- Trash & Safety
Keep Lake Chelan clean and beautiful by using trash bins and respecting park rules. Wildfire risk is high in July, so remember to pack out what you pack in, and always extinguish BBQ coals thoroughly.
