Where To Dock Your Boat at Lake Chelan

Bringing your own boat to our beautiful shores? You can make a reservation at Manson Bay Park, steps from your room at Mountain View Lodge! Manson Bay Marina boasts a 32-slip marina with water and electricity. Make a reservation well in advance to ensure you secure your spot.

You may also make a reservation at  Lakeshore Marina, a city-owned marina with 100 slips, offering powered and non-powered moorage options. Amenities include a free pump-out station, launch, and ample pay parking. 

Reservations may be made 270 days in advance, so plan ahead to ensure you can get a spot during your vacation!

Public Boat Launches At Lake Chelan

You can launch your boat at one of the many conveniently located public boat launches across the Lake Chelan Valley!

1. Old Mill Park

Just a short drive from Mountain View Lodge in Manson, Old Mill Park offers a large parking lot for vehicles and boat trailers and a marine pump-out station. There is a $12 fee to park your tow vehicle and trailer and to use the launch.

2. Lake Chelan State Park

Located on Lake Chelan’s beautiful South Shore, Lake Chelan State Park has a large number of amenities (playgrounds, concessions, and hiking trails, to name a few) to keep you entertained before and after taking the boat for a spin! $7 watercraft launch fee for the day. Discover Pass required.

3. Chelan Riverwalk

Located in the heart of downtown Chelan, the Chelan Riverwalk features a boat launch on the park’s southern side, accessible from Emerson St. No fee required.

4. Lakeshore Marina

Lakeshore Marina is conveniently located in historic downtown Chelan, adjacent to Don Morse Park, and offers a free pump-out station, launch, and a paid parking area.

5. Manson Bay Park

Just a few blocks from Mountain View Lodge, Manson Bay Park offers three day-use boat docks and one concrete ramp to get your boat day started with ease.

6. 25-mile Creek State Park

With a modern marina and moorage, 25-mile Creek State Park is one of the last glimpses of civilization before Lake Chelan’s untouched wilderness takes center stage. $7 watercraft launch fee for the day. Discover Pass required.

Top Spots To Take Your Boat On Lake Chelan

Lake Chelan is brimming with picturesque spots! Here are a few must-visit locations:

1. Stehekin

Accessible only by boat, this remote village offers hiking trails, the famous Stehekin Pastry Company, and serene natural beauty. 

There is a public dock for private boaters to dock their boats, plus a gas pump. Visit the Forest Service website for more information on Lake Chelan dock permits.

2. Manson Bay

A lively area with a public beach, perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Nearby wineries, boutiques, and restaurants make it an excellent spot for a midday break!

3. Twenty-Five Mile Creek State Park

Ideal for camping enthusiasts, this park offers boat-in campsites and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. 

4. Mitchell Creek Campground

A great place to get out and explore or have a picnic! Bonus: Mitchell Creek Campground is a very easy spot to travel to with little ones and even includes a dock for your boat.

5. Graham Harbor Creek

A day-use swimming area that’s just up lake from the Graham Harbor Creek Campground. This space features a large dock, a picnic area with an old fireplace, an easy hike option, and beautiful views.

• Life Jackets: Ensure there’s a properly fitting life jacket for every passenger.
• Weather Watch: Lake Chelan’s weather can change rapidly. Check forecasts and be prepared for sudden shifts.
