Of course this year flew by! Sure there have been challenges we’ve had to overcome, but overall, 2021 has been a triumph of community spirit, hard work, and loyalty. We can’t thank our customers, family, and friends enough for the support this year!
As 2022 rounds the corner here, we wanted to take this opportunity to take a quick look back at this year of some of the highlights.
Winterfest 2021 Kicks Off the Year
So many things were up in the air in 2020, but Lake Chelan pulled through in the beginning of 2021 with a Winterfest kickoff in January! We saw beautiful ice sculptures throughout the Chelan Valley, sidewalk tents for businesses to serve food and wine, and Manson hosted family-friendly activities in Downtown. The night sky lit up as fireworks dazzled the night with a brilliant display of color and light.
In February, the Month of Love continued the celebration of delicious food and wine as friends and family enjoyed the tasty combination of red wine and chocolate. Couples experienced romantic dinners at restaurants and wineries and many of our guests stayed with us at the Lodge to spend some quiet time in Manson.
Spring & Summer Fun
2021’s Manson Apple Blossom Parade was a treat! Marching bands, American Legion members, fire trucks, and the amazing first responders walked through Manson, getting loud cheers for all their hard work. Apple Blossom Royalty rode down the street in fancy cars and horses, too!
The 5th Annual Manson Rat Rod Show was a big hit as people excitedly attended the event, enjoying food, drink, and the cool rat rods lined up in the streets of Manson. It was a wonderful photo opportunity for the entire family!
In June and July, we saw music and outdoor activities come to life. Musicians from around the region, sports, and yoga became regular fixtures at businesses throughout the valley. Manson’s 4th of July weekend’s fireworks was the biggest and best display we have ever seen in the valley!
Other notable events included Lake Chelan Bach Fest, the Lake Chelan Boating Club Poker Run, and the inaugural Lake Chelan Lavender & Art Festival.
Haunted & Harvest Festival
One of the highlights of the year was the first ever Haunted Manson festival in Lake Chelan. Visitors from all over Washington experienced the excitement of Harvest and family-fun activities during the day while taking part in the spooky activities during the night! In Manson, ticket holders visited the scary Haunted House and Hayride after enjoying 5 full weekends of Halloween and Harvest related fun. Small Town Holidays
The Chelan Valley comes to life during the holiday season and we were so excited to be right at the center of it all. We invited kids to come down to The Lodge so they could write a personal letter to Santa and deliver it to him by hand as he landed in a helicopter!
All month long, Santa toured through Chelan and Manson, waving hello and taking photos with joyous children. And, once again, we had fireworks in both Chelan and Manson almost every weekend!
