Hard cider, microbrews, local wines, provisions & shopping… The downtown Manson location where Rootwood Cider was, is now Lake Effect Provisions.
Provisions you say… well, what do they provide? Casual daytime food (breakfast and lunch), drinks, and some really nice gifts in a fresh, casual and very attractive way!
Lake Effect Provisions is not replacing Rootwood Cider but is the dream of an expanding and proud family. The Koenig family has been growing apples in the Lake Chelan Valley (Manson specifically) for more than 100 years, and as the 5th generation reaches out, this lovely little shop is what we see… and you’re going to love it!
Yes, it’s a really great shop run by some really nice, down to earth folks, but it’s ALSO really good food, easy and tasty, they are open reasonable hours… DAILY, and they’ve got SUNDAY BRUNCH! WOOHOO! If you’re hungry, they’ve got:
- Sandwiches and shareable plates – think things like prosciutto, Gorgonzola spread, Cougar Gold, dried fruits, nuts and olives, salmon, lemony artichokes, smoked gouda, chicken, apple butter, toasted cheese, chips, and pickles!
- Sunday Brunch – dream about things that might go with a Rosemary Rose’ cider cocktail or a Mimosa! Oh, my! Yes… Greek yogurt and all the goodies, something sweet and savory that might include Canadian bacon, jam, mustard, and cinnamon swirl bread. Maybe you’d like an iced coffee or a breakfast stout to go with that?
- Wines, Ciders, and beers on rotation – local and farm fresh; creative and tasty; with or without alcohol; and even something special for the little ones!
And Rootwood Cider has grown up, too! They have simply moved to the old homestead orchard with a fresh and modern twist. You’re going to love it!
Well, now I’m really hungry. I wonder what they will have tomorrow?!?
