Woohoo!!!! It’s time, it’s time; the pool is OPENING! Summer is JUST around the corner!
Every year since we opened our doors in 1985, guests have spent countless hours enjoying the sunshine and fresh air in our pool. Parents who taught their children how to swim here are now watching those children teach THEIR children. Friends gather year after year to sit on the edge of the pool, in the sun and just enjoy life. That special time of year is upon us once again!
On Monday April 12th, the cover comes off and MVL’s maintenance team starts the process of getting the pool ready after its long winter sleep. Including heating time, this process usually takes around 5 days, but Gerry, MVL’s VP of Fun, has assured us that it will be ready for the weekend! The official pool opening is scheduled for Saturday April 17th but, depending on certain sunny conditions, it could be ready as early as Friday the 16th. Great news for everyone looking to plan their trip to Lake Chelan in the springtime before rates at the Lake go up in May. Now, we can’t guarantee the weather, but you know the brave and committed will not be held back so, we will be ready!
Although occupancy allowances by the Governor are less strict this year, we will still be requiring guests to reserve pool time to allow for proper social distancing, ensure established occupancy limits are observed and that everyone has an opportunity to enjoy the pool. Don’t worry, though, we have made reserving pool time easy for everyone thru our user-friendly text messaging service. Of course, you are always welcome to stop in the Lobby, but you will get a text the morning on the day of your arrival asking you to “opt-in” to our messaging service. Please opt-in at your convenience. This tool has been put in place to make communication as easy and carefree as possible, and so that so we may provide you with the best service possible during your stay here at Mountain View Lodge. We’re excited about pool season and can’t wait to see all of your smiling faces this year!
