For nearly 30 years the Lake Chelan Winterfest has been a staple of the Lake Chelan Community. A true barrel of fun for kids of all ages, this celebration started as a great community activity and has morphed into something quite spectacular.  Spurred on by popularity and local commitment, this process of growing and changing has brought us to the current day where it is now filled with incredible ice sculptures, live music, wine tasting, ale tasting, activities for kids of all ages, a polar bear plunge into the chilly winter waters of Lake Chelan, massive beach bonfire, spectacular fireworks show and so much more spread out over two weekends between the towns of Chelan and Manson.

This year’s festival, while slightly altered due to the covid-19 pandemic, will be condensed from two down to one weekend; January 15^th – 17^th, 2021.  Locals and tourists alike have the pleasure of strolling thru the closed off streets of downtown Chelan and Manson while watching world class ice sculptors create beautiful masterpieces. Businesses from all over the Lake Chelan Valley and NCW will have booths lining the streets with goodies for all, and a preview of things to come in 2021.

Winterfest, via the Chelan and Manson Chambers, the HDCA and the Lake Chelan Wine Valley’s collaboration, is making the necessary changes to ensure a safe and enjoyable weekend in the Chelan Valley. From take home wine tastings, a socially distanced winter market, horse-drawn carriages, intricate ice sculptures, two spectacular fireworks shows, and more across both downtown Chelan and Manson. There is something to do for everyone.
