SMALL TOWN HOLIDAYS; like being in a Hallmark movie!
As time moves forward in this strange world that we are all growing more accustomed to functioning in there is some strong evidence that it is bring people closer together; not farther apart. In fact, folks throughout the Lake Chelan Valley are working hard to ensure this Holiday Season is more special than ever! And, what could be better than a step back to the peace and kindness of a small town holiday?
Voila! Enter Small Town Holidays! We have that here! Yes, together, the Lake Chelan and Manson Chambers of Commerce, the Historic Downtown Chelan Association, and the Chelan Valley Wine Alliance want to invite everyone to “celebrate the magic of the holiday season in Lake Chelan! In fact, they are working together to bring joy to us all throughout the months of December, January AND February!!! Ah, but lest I get sidetracked, let me tell you about December!
“Small Town Holidays” starts on Thanksgiving Weekend, November 27th and 28th, with a KOZI Radio (the local radio station!) musical countdown to a valley wide community and towns lighting! Yes, they will be “lighting up the lake” with businesses and residences taking part in a grand contest starting first in the city of Chelan on Friday the 27th and then the town of Manson on Saturday the 28th.
Think beautiful lights, Santa flat bed sleigh parades, wine barrel train rides, music, lighted boat parades, open businesses, and LOTS more lights… And maybe a “lights in the Valley” map to make it easy, lots of holiday coupons for our shopping fun, and did I mention, LOTS more lights… throughout the month of December! Special activities are planned for the weekends, but every night will be a holiday wonderland throughout the valley. A slice of joy that you won’t want to miss!
Of course, everything will take place with complete COVID appropriateness. The safety of everyone in our community, as well as our friendly visitors is top of mind… but who couldn’t use a little extra holiday cheer this year?!
